Projects & Research
Welcome to the Research Projects page, where I document my journey of innovation and problem-solving, showcasing long-term projects in environmental science, renewable energy, and material science.
Quantum Dot
Solar Cells
Traditional solar cells suffer from efficiency limitations due to their inability to fully utilize the solar spectrum. In fact, most traditional silicon solar cells have a limited efficiency of only 15–18%, with a lower absorption coefficient and untunable band gaps.
However, quantum dot solar cells make use of the "lost solar spectrum."
The following section includes my award-winning research at the IEEE conference and QuantaSol predictive API model to calculate the best locations for QD solar cells in regions sun-rich, solar poor.
Athletica 360 Sports Wearable
Imagine if you had a sports wearable that helps track your motions during practice and gives you immediate sensory feedback via Bluetooth device.
Athletica360 is a sports performance device that uses advanced motion sensors and AI to provide real-time feedback and analytics, helping athletes refine their technique and improve efficiency!
Born out of my own struggle with recurring badminton shoulder injuries from improper form, Athletica360 transforms personal setbacks into an innovation that empowers athletes to train smarter and safer.

Moisture Energy Research
Most energy technologies demand constant input. But what if power could be generated passively, without any moving parts or external supply?
Moisture Energy Harvesting (MSEH) and Transpiration-Driven Electrokinetic Power Generation (TEPG) take advantage of nature’s most overlooked resource: the everyday flow of water molecules.
The following section includes my moisture energy research (moisture-and-transpiration-based) in the Dichiara group at the University of Washington.
MicroClear Salt Purification Research
Did you know that people consume around a credit card of microplastics?
Did you know that humans on average consume approximately 4000 microplastic particles annually?
Did you know that even the Himalayan Salt comprises microplastics?
Currently, there are no existing solutions to this issue, and we are relentlessly consuming microplastics on a daily basis.
However, the MicroClear Salt Purification System in development may solve this problem!

My Mathematical Modeling Journey
What if math could shape cleaner factories, happier homes, and smarter energy?
My journey in mathematical modeling has taken me from reducing CO₂ emissions in manufacturing plants, to creating a pet-compatibility index that earned the Outstanding Award in the Greater China International Mathematical Modeling Competition, to developing cutting-edge error-reduction models for Spectrafy’s solar irradiance devices—technology built by only three companies in the world.

VISION: Assistive Wearable for the Visually Impaired
The Visually Impaired and Blind individuals in China are suffocating.
Why?
Because of the lack of assistive technologies for them in public facilities (especially outside of major cities like Shanghai)
Because of the high complexity of the Chinese Braille system with a confusion rate of 25%
Because of the complex city layout in major cities like Chongqing
However, the Vision Interface System for Image and Object Navigation (shortly, VISION) wristband revolutionizes the visually impaired individuals' lives!
